Back by popular demand, Sudhaji is considered one of the brightest stars in Karnatic music. Awarded the prestigious Padmabhushan title her deep relish for tradition and mystical old-world charm is addictive.
She will be accompanied by Balu Raguraman on violin, Balachandar on Mridangam and preceded on vocals by upcoming artiste Sivakami Sibi, senior disciple of Smt Sivashakti Sivanesan.

Bharatanatyam Dance by Srekala Bharath

Srekala, disciple of renowned Guru K J Sarasa, is a passionate dancer, ingenious choreographer and an inspirational teacher. Her creative journey has taken her through 24 countries spanning 5 continents.
She will be preceded by upcoming artistes, Madhu and Mahima Chandrasekhar, senior disciples of Sri Prakash Yadagudde.

Hindustani Vocal Concert by Smt Sumitra Guha

Sumitraji is known for her expertise in Hindustani schools of classical music. The Government of India honoured her in 2010, with the fourth highest civilian award of Padma Shri. She will be accompanied by Pt Rajkumar Misra on Tabla and preceded by upcoming artistes, Torsha Chattaraj on vocals, senior disciple of Smt Chandrima Misra, and Dhanraj on Tabla, senior disciple of Pt Rajkumar Misra.

Kathak Dance Recital by Rani Khanam

Rani is a sensitive and astute interpreter of the Lucknow Gharana. Her style reflects deep comprehension of the dance tradition. She sets new dimensions and is a source of inspiration to younger generations. She will be preceded by upcoming Kathak artiste, Abhinav Mishra, disciple of Sri Abhay Shankar Mishra.

Techniques of Indian Miniature Paintings, by Ramu Ramdev
Timings: Monday 25th July - Friday July 29th, 2016. 11:00pm - 5:00pm
Master Miniature Painter Ramu Ramdev will be visiting The Bhavan for the Fourth time, to share his skills with students keen to learn techniques of Traditional Indian Miniature Painting in five day workshop. Fees include the use of all painting material. An Exhibition of the Finest work of Master painter Ramu Ramdev and his brothers, Govind Ramdev, Shyamu Ramdev & Hemant Ramdev will be on show during the workshop.
Previous students are welcome to bring in their framed artwork for exhibition.
Fees: £150, £125 (under 18)
