The Bhavan is opening its doors again in September 2021 after over a year of closure. We have taken multiple measures to protect staff and visitors.

For the consideration and comfort of all, please read this page and follow the guidelines.

Measures we have taken

1. Risk Assessment has been carried out.
2. Provision of protective barriers at Reception.
3. Provision of Hand Sanitiser stations throughout the building.
4. All staff onsite have been double vaccinated.
5. Relocation of activities to improve social distancing and ventilation.
6. Enhanced cleaning routines.
7. We are improving ventilation throughout the building.

Measures for Visitors

We will be following government guidance about measures and restrictions for visitors.

Please note these may be liable to change at short notice.

Vaccination or Immunity

If you are over 18, you will be asked for proof of double-vaccination or a recent negative lateral flow test. You can do this using the NHS COVID Pass, an NHS Test and Trace COVID-19 test notification, or an internationally-recognised equivalent.

Wear Masks

For the consideration of others in the building, face masks are mandatory in all communal areas.  If you can wear a mask to complete your activity then please continue to wear one for the duration of your visit.

Stay at Home if Unwell

Please do not come to The Bhavan if you are unwell, have any Coronavirus symptoms or have been told to isolate.

Keep Hands Clean

Please wash / sanitise your hands on entry and regularly during your visit. There are hand sanitiser stations throughout the building.

Changes of Classroom

Although there is no current requirement for social distancing, we may move your class to an area with more space such as the Gallery, Library or Auditorium.

Food Service

All food service is currently suspended.

Reduced Waiting Areas

The Library and Canteen are now in use for classes and cannot be used for waiting areas. Parents may wait in the auditorium if there are no events, rehearsals, classes or repair works in progress. Parents should be prepared to find alternative waiting space outside the buildings.

Restricted Movement

You may be asked to restrict your movement within the premises.

Parents may not join their children in the classrooms nor wait outside.
