The Bhavan is pleased to announce WORLD DANCE DAY 2025, our annual festival
celebrating the talents in different forms of dance in the UK.
The festival will be held Saturday 26 April 2025. We are now accepting applications
for the same.

RULES:
1. This year we are calling all artists regardless of the age. Please tailor your applications according to the age group and specify them in your application.
- Age restrictions: 6 years and above
- Genres: Indian classical dances. We will have a separate strand for folk forms of India. Fusion or contemporary allowed for this festival.
2. Only group applications with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 10 participants will be considered.
3. Time limit – maximum 8 minutes.
4. THEME – We do not have a specific theme for the festival. Any mythological or socially relevant themes are welcome.
5. The deadline for receiving applications is FRIDAY 22 MARCH.
6. Selected applicants will be informed by Monday 31 March.
APPLICATION GUIDELINES:
Please send your applications with the following details:
1. Approximate number of performers.
2. Approximate time limit (we understand this might change in due course as some of you will apply with new ideas. Please do mention an approximate time limit within the stipulated 8 minutes).
3. A full synopsis of your idea and what you envision to present. Please make sure that your brand new approach and perspective to your classical idiom is clearly stated.
4. Please mention if this is an already created piece and if this has been performed anywhere else, or if you are creating/choreographing a brand new piece. This will not hinder your selection, it is only for our understanding.
